Ramiro Rencurrell Ramiro Rencurrell President

Ramiro has over 8 years of experience in the Life Settlement industry, and over 12 years of experience in the life and health insurance industry. In 2004, he began building Magna Life Settlements from the ground up and over the past 6 years has continued to grow and lead the company to success. Magna Life Settlements is licensed in the State of Florida and regarded as a premier Life Settlement Provider. Prior to taking over Magna Life Settlements, Ramiro served as the Vice President of Operations for BMI Financial Group, Inc., in charge of the company’s wholly owned life and health insurance subsidiaries abroad. His responsibilities included managing sales, underwriting, administration, actuarial, claims, re-insurance, and P&L for the company’s life and health insurance operations. Prior to BMI Financial Group, Ramiro held various executive positions with United Parcel Service.

Ramiro is a graduate of Florida International University with a BA in Business Administration, concentration in Finance and International Business. He also holds a Masters in Business Administration from Florida International University. Ramiro is an active member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA). He is a former President of the Life Insurance Settlement Association (LISA) and is currently serving as a Board Member.

William (Bill) P. Mountain William (Bill) P. Mountain Vice President — Operations

Prior to Joining Magna, Bill was CEO of Institutional Life Settlement Advisors LLC (ILSA), a licensed life settlement and viatical broker in Hollywood, FL. Bill has extensive experience in all aspects of estate planning, premium financing and life settlements as the President of Life Equity Partners LLC and as a Senior Analyst with The Life Settlement Alliance Inc. Before working in the viatical and life settlements industry, Bill was a financial advisor with Olde Discount Stockbrokers and The MONY Group, formerly Mutual of New York, specializing in advanced estate planning.

Bill provides continuing education to financial advisors, attorneys, CPAs and Trust Officers and is a frequent lecturer to various chapters of the National Association of Estate Planning Councils and members of the National Association of Independent Life Brokerage Agencies.

He holds a BA degree, cum laude, from Loyola University in New Orleans. He currently holds Non-Resident Life licenses throughout the U.S. in addition to Life, Health, Variable Contracts, and General Lines (Prop & Cas) licenses in Florida. He also holds FINRA Series 7 & 63 licenses.

Annemarie Barbato Annemarie Barbato Director of Operations

Annemarie has been in the insurance industry for over twenty years, specializing in the areas of Life and Health. She holds 215 Life and Health Agent license for six years. Annemarie gained experience as an anti-fraud and compliance officer for Magna Life Settlements, Inc. Annemarie has expanded her duties to include the management of all contract compliance and closing activities during the Life Settlement contract cycle before becoming Director of Operations. Prior to joining Magna, Annemarie has held various positions in the Life Insurance Industry pertaining to medical third party administration.

Nora Oliveri Nora Oliveri MD, LHRM, Risk Manager/Anti-Fraud Officer

Nora Oliveri is a Risk Manager and Anti-Fraud Officer of Magna Life Settlements, Inc. Her activity is part of a new research model that combines medical science, medical informatics and insurance business knowledge. She is the Founder and Former President of the Medical Informatics Foundation, which she managed for 12 years and the E-SALUD Organization, a non-profit organization devoted to reduce and control healthcare risk factors by mean of information and communication technologies, with the objective to improve health conditions of population.

Nora Oliveri is a Medical Doctor and Ophthalmologist, graduated from the University of Buenos Aires, School of Medicine. She also holds degrees in Medical Informatics and a Healthcare Risk Management from the University of Florida.

Nora is trained in Health and Wellness Coaching and participates in the Continual Medical Education courses of her specialty at Harvard Medical School. She is Member of the Academy of Insurance Medicine (AAIM), the Institute of Coaching Professional Association (ICPA) and the American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA).

Manuel Montañez Manuel Montañez Compliance Officer

Manuel Montañez has been in the insurance industry for over thirty years, specializing in the investigation and adjudication of Life and Health Claims with direct emphasis on Cost Containment and Fraud Detection.

He was the past Director of Physician and Hospital Network Development for Best Meridian Insurance, setting up existing provider networks encompassing hospitals, physician networks, outpatient services, pharmaceuticals, laboratories and organ transplants. Manuel is presently in charge of State License Acquisition and Compliance Support, which encompasses monitoring state statutes, existing and new regulation, and providing annual reporting to all licensed states.

Manuel holds a B.A. in Business and Finance from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida.

Daisy Roldan Daisy Roldan Account Manager

Daisy has been in the Life Settlement Industry since 2003. During that time she has been responsible for monitoring new and existing state regulation requirements as well as managing case flow to financing entities. She has also been responsible for the design and approval of forms used in the operation of the business. Daisy has a strong knowledge of the pricing and negotiation process pertaining to the Life Settlements Industry. Daisy is a candidate to receive a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Florida International University.

Manny Grullon Manny Grullon Senior Account Manager

With over 10 years in the insurance industry of which 5 have been in with Magna, Grullon has served as a key player in helping establish Magna as a leader in the Life Settlement Industry. In obtaining the 215 Life and health course, Grullon has developed strong knowledge of the pricing and negotiation process pertaining to the industry and holds the title of Senior Account Manager in charge of pricing analysis. Aside from helping establish great partnership with third party financing entities, Grullon monitors the performance revenues of all parties involved.

Patrick Henry Patrick Henry Licensing and Compliance

Patrick has experience with the implementation of information technology applications and has managed a diverse team of technical professionals. In addition to having a strong technical background, he has worked at major corporations such as The Boeing Company and AT&T. During his tenure at AT&T he was responsible for managing local marketing and sales activities.

Patrick holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and an MPA from Florida International University in Miami, FL.

Sandra Waldron Sandra Waldron Closing Specialist

Sandra Waldron has been in the insurance industry for over twenty years, specializing in life and viatical settlement contract management, life and health claims, contract and legal compliance and escrow administration. Sandra has held many roles within Magna including a contract closing specialist, funding coordinator and funds relations manager.

Sandra holds a business degree from Escuela Práctica de Comercio and an accounting degree from Academia de Matemáticas y Comerico José A. Zambrano both located in the Republic of Panamá.

Robert Olson Robert Olson Closing Specialist

Robert has an extensive underwriting background. For over 16 years, Robert worked at Eastern Financial Florida Credit Union as the Senior Underwriter/Supervisor responsible for all mortgage underwriting activities and secondary market compliance. He is currently acting as a closing specialist for Magna and his duties include coordinating escrow and funding transactions as well as monitoring contracts for legal compliance. Robert holds an Associate in Arts Degree from Broward Community College.

Willy Grados Willy Grados Case Coordinator

Willy has well over 20 years of customer service experience, 11 of which were spent in the insurance industry. That last four years he has been directly involved in the Life Settlement business. His prior involvement in coordination of benefits and interaction with insured and providers has helped him become a strong liaison with both members of the team and across the Life Settlement industry.
